Ha ha ha! Get it?
Wednesday night the kids came home from AWANA hiped and screaming. Joy knew no bounds that night. The came home from “Game night” in happiness because they had so much fun, and were able to win tons of prizes of trinkets, toys, and food.
The girls had won plates of cookies and chocolate brownie. They experienced the high of winning something as meaningful as food that they can share with the family. We had Ginger’s brownie last night for dessert and it was delicious. And Ginger was the proud hostess as she served it out and learned the art of courtesy: serve yourself last.
The church that hosts this AWANA is certainly in it for the love of the kids. For 50 cent, my kids have the time of their lives, and we get free babysitting for at least an hour. I don’t know how the 50 cents pay for anything really because the kids get to do some of the best arts and crafts, get snacks, and free books.
For all this, I am thankful for such wonderful people that run this organization, and I am most certainly willing to forgive the foul odor from the cows and fields surrounding the church.
